TREE PLANTATION DRIVE BY BANK OF MAHARASHTRA AT NIBM

The vast, natural green bounty of NIBM that has been nurtured with meticulous care and dedication since its inception was further enhanced with a mass tree plantation drive of around 100 trees by Bank of Maharashtra as part of its CSR activities. The event held on 25th March, 2023 at the NIBM campus witnessed enthusiastic participation from the top management of the bank apart from branch managers and department heads of the bank’s HO at Pune. Both the Executive Directors of the bank, Shri. A.B. Vijayakumar and Shri. Asheesh Pandey highlighted the importance and urgent need for increasing the tree cover of our cities to mitigate the debilitating effects of climate change. They also thanked the NIBM management, especially Prof. Partha Ray – Director and Smt. Soni Philip – CAO, for including the bank in the Institute’s ongoing green drive aimed at not just planting more trees, but also making the air safer and replenishing our groundwater resources, year after year.
