NIBM LAUNCHES "LET'S REACH" MOBI APP FOR CAPACITY BUILDING OF BCAS IN TAMIL NADU

The virtual launch of the pilot ICT application for the Capacity building of Business Correspondent Agents (BCAs) in Tamil Nadu has been done on 21 April 2022 by NIBM in collaboration with Commonwealth of Learning, NGO VIDYAL, and Voice Snap Pvt Ltd Chennai. The program was started with a welcome address by Dr. Naveen Kumar. He elucidated the purpose of Capacity Building of BC agents. Further, Dr. Balasubramanian threw light on the ongoing project by the Commonwealth of Learning and the need to support the capacity-building initiative. The app ‘Lets Reach’ was virtually launched by the Director of NIBM Prof. Partha Ray. He called attention to the need for innovation and its appropriate use for the capacity building of BCAs.

The freshly launched easy-to-use app will provide E-learning access to BCAs. The demo of the app was presented to all by Mr. Natraj Iyer and Ms. Shruthi. They explained the features and working of the application to BCAs. Mr. Kamaraj has shared his experience of working on similar projects and encouraged the BCAs to participate in E-learning through the app. This program was graced by the presence of senior executives from banks, BC Corporates, and Invited guests from the banking and financial sector. More than 600 BCAs and their nodal officers from Tamil Nadu have attended this virtual launch event. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Dipali, a research assistant from NIBM.
