The National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM), Pune, successfully hosted the release of the India Banking and Finance Report 2025 on November 24, 2025. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor, Nalanda University, and the Editors of the Report — Prof. Partha Ray (Director, NIBM), Dr. Arindam Bandyopadhyay (Dean – Academic Programme and Principal, NIBM PGDM), and Prof. Sanjay Basu (Professor & Editor – Prajnan).
The function commenced with the traditional Saraswati Vandana and lighting of the ceremonial lamp, to mark the auspicious occasion. This was followed by an insightful Welcome Address by Prof. Partha Ray, who introduced the Chief Guest and outlined the significance of the IBFR 2025.
The report was released by Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi, with the editors and the publisher, Mr. Sanu Kapila, on the dais. Prof. Sanjay Basu then presented the highlights of IBFR 2025 through a concise and lucid coverage.
The Chief Guest Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi delivered an informative Keynote Address, offering valuable lessons into India’s evolving financial and developmental landscape. The session also featured an interactive Q&A with students and faculty members, adding vibrancy and youth perspectives to the discussion. Dr. Arindam Bandyopadhyay offered a formal Vote of Thanks, acknowledging all dignitaries, participants, and contributors.
The programme continued with a high-level Panel Discussion on “Macro-Financial Risks for India”, featuring distinguished experts:
