International Yoga Day reminds us about the rich history of Indian science and culture. Yoga symbolises the harmony between the mind and body, and is considered to be a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science that focuses on the science of healthy living. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’. On this day, we respectfully remember this ancient tradition that harnesses the synergic connection between thought and action. NIBM celebrated Yoga Day on June 21, 2023, with a collective aspiration for 'One Earth, One Family and One Future'.
