BANK OF MAHARASHTRA AND NIBM JOIN HANDS TO BOOST THE INSTITUTE'S GREEN DRIVE

On 18th June, 2023, a mass tree plantation event was conducted in the NIBM campus as part of the green initiatives of the institute. The occasion was graced by Shri. A. S. Rajeev, MD & CEO of Bank of Maharashtra and Shri. Asheesh Pandey, Executive Director, along with the bank's senior management who were accompanied by 200 officials across all levels and zones of the bank. The huge number of eager volunteers ensured that more than 200 saplings of different varieties suitable to the NIBM geographical coordinates were planted within a few hours. Shri. Rajeev inaugurated the event by planting a tree followed by the other key bank officials and the NIBM team led by Prof. Arindam Bandyopadhyay, Dean (Academic Programme), Dr. Sarita Bhatnagar, Convenor (NIBM Green Campus Programme) and Ms. Soni Philip (CAO) along with the NIBM administration staff. The event concluded with the reiteration by the bank management of their continued support to NIBM's ongoing green drive that has gathered strong momentum since its enthusiastic and spirited launch on World Environment Day (June 5, 2023).
