74TH REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS

As the whole nation celebrated its 74th Republic Day with pomp and glory, the lush green campus of NIBM too reverberated with the chants of ‘Jai Hind’ as the students, faculty and staff stood at attention while the national flag was being hoisted by Dr. Partha Ray, Director, NIBM. The Director in his address to the assembled gathering stated that the ‘Republic Day’ was not only an occasion to remember the history and golden heritage of our country, but also feel proud to be an integral part of an ever-shining India that is marching towards its destiny with a spirit of unity and patriotic zeal. The Director’s address was followed by the felicitation of the NGO, 'Hak Tumchi, Sath Amchi' from Thane, Maharashtra. The Institute also handed over schoolbags to the NGO representative towards their goal of helping underprivileged school children. The event was also marked by a ‘Patriotic March‘ led by the Director along with the institute’s faculty, students and staff with the tricolour held aloft. Later, a ‘Patriotic Run’ organised by the NIBM Sports Committee saw the enthusiastic participants trying to outrun each other to win the exciting prizes which were given away by the Director to the winners as the day ended with loud applause and cheerful hurrahs.
