It was July 25, 2018 when Mr. Mukesh, GM Credit of Indus Bank has been pondering over the proposal from Commerce Bank for down sale of loan given to Gadag Solar Power Private Limited (Gadag Solar). Government of India was giving major thrust on moving towards green energy and many banks were keen to increase their green energy loan portfolio. Given the competition among the banks to buy the loan from Commerce Bank, Mukesh wanted to take a call on taking a considerable share in the loan within a weak. He entrusted the task of collecting the necessary data, credit analysis and to submit a detailed report of Gadag Solar within a week, to Mridula, a senior credit analyst with the bank.
