About Library

With its unique collection of more than 70450+ Books and 110+ reputed international and national Journals ( with 15600+ bound volumes) in various disciplines, NIBM Library is the centre of attraction for academics, researchers and the banking fraternity across the country. Though the library has been built up mainly to cater to the needs of the banking and financial sector, it is well equipped in subjects like Economics, General Management, Leadership, Behavioral Sciences, Quantitative Methods, Sociology, Agriculture, Rural Development, Microfinance etc. The library has a substantial collection of CD-ROMs, VCDs/DVDs, etc. The Library also subscribes to various databases.

Digital Library

Library subscribes to following e-resources. These resources are available through IP based campus wide network and also some are available through remote login. Please contact library staff if any help is required.

Web OPAC

We have 24×7 WebOPAC facility through which a user can access the bibliographical details of the Library collection/resources anywhere and anytime (i.e. via Internet or intranet). The database of the entire Library is being updated on regular basis. A search is available through author, title, subject, publisher, ISBN and Boolean logic queries. Users can reserve books and check their account including transaction history using their login Ids.

Individuals associated with banks/financial institutions who are residing in Pune are eligible for library membership. Also academicians, researchers (doing PhD), and other bona fide people belonging to academic and research organizations located in Pune, can avail of the library services. Please maintain silence in the library
Eatables / drinks are not allowed inside the library.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in and around library premises.
Use of mobile phone in and around library premises is strictly prohibited.
Formal dress code is compulsory in the library.
Please follow all Library Rules and co-operate with library staff.

Facilities Available

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Library is Wi-Fi enabled so that users (internal) can use their own laptops in the library for searching various subscribed databases or for internet browsing.

Multimedia Machines

Four machines in the library are kept for watching VCD / DVD collection and for accessing the online databases subscribed.

Reading Room

At a time almost 60 users can use the reading room for study purpose.

Various displays

For users’ convenience, library displays books like new arrivals (Latest Books), NIBM Publications, and also Program Library Display for Participants where books are displayed as per training programs scheduled.

OPAC (Available in campus only)

The library is automated. The users can search the database using Libsys Web-OPAC by author, title or keyword. The users can see their account status also online.

Online Catalogue

The library database is automated with Libsys software. Through Online Public Access Catalogue users can search the various database pertaining to books, articles indexed from various Journals and news from Bankers' Brief etc. Users can also view the list of books issued on their name, due date, fine if any etc.
